  • Elementary Neighbor Focus

Realizing many residents are in need, the elementary classes focus on meeting the needs of our local residents. Their projects include jobs such as raking leaves, planting flowers, neighborhood clean-ups, singing to nursing home residents, delivering cookies, and other ways to meet the needs of our neighbors.

  • Middle School Community Focus

Middle school students work with local agencies to increase their awareness of the needs of others in the Calhoun county area. They work with a variety of local agencies such as Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, and Inasmuch House.

  • 9th Grade City Focus

In addition to partnering with a local agency throughout the school year, high school students have an additional mission week each spring.  As freshmen, students work in and near Battle Creek on a 3-day project that differs every school year.

  • 10th Grade State Focus

In addition to partnering with a local agency throughout the school year, high school students have an additional mission week each spring.  The sophomore class works with an inner-city ministry in Detroit.  Students have the opportunity to serve in areas such as participating in worship services, cleaning the neighborhood, and serving at a soup kitchen.

  • 11th Grade Nation Focus

In addition to partnering with a local agency throughout the school year, high school students have an additional mission week each spring.  The junior class works with Students With a Mission to reach out to those who are in need in our nation’s capital.  They work with the homeless, at-risk students, and a variety of outreach events in addition to participating in an organized prayer vigil at each of the monuments in D.C.

  • 12th Grade World Focus

In addition to partnering with a local agency throughout the school year, high school students have an additional mission week each spring.  Seniors work in a foreign country, partnering with Island Encounter Missions. Their work can include projects such as construction work, Vacation Bible School, computer training, worship and teen services, or assisting a medical mission. The Classes of 2004, 2005, and 2006 served on the Grand Bahama Island, and the Class of 2007 will serve in the Dominican Republic.
