FOLLIES 2025

Follies is a Mission Trip Fundraiser put on by the class of 2025. Invite your friends and family to attend. 
 

REENROLLMENT FOR 2025-2026 

We are beginning to accept new families to our school for the 2025-2026 school year this month. If you have not yet finished reenrollment and would like to, please complete it as soon as possible through the FACTS Family Portal, or contact Michelle Wilson if you have an extenuating circumstance that is preventing you from reenrolling at this time. If you have not reenrolled yet, your spot is not guaranteed for next year until you have submitted the packet and paid the enrollment fees.

CCS ROBOTICS TEAM GOING TO WORLD COMPETITION!!

We are excited to announce our CCS Robotics Team and their robot, Manta Joe, will be going to the World Competition next week after a successful State competition! They finished 21st overall of 527 teams!! Go CCS! The championship will be in Houston, Texas, where our students and mentors will be traveling for the championship that begins officially on Thursday, April 17. Keep them in prayer as they both travel and compete. Here is some preliminary information on how to watch the competition from home, but the actual field they will be in has yet to be assigned: https://frc-events.firstinspires.org/2025/CMPTX.

MIDDLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community Service will be held on  Friday, April 25 8 am - 11:00 am.
Please watch for an email from your son/daughter's homeroom teacher with details of where they are going and if drivers are needed.

GUYS AND DOLLS JR.

It is time to sign up for Guys and Dolls Jr.!!!! This show is open to all CCS 4th-12th graders from the 24-25 school year.
Auditions will be held during the week of April 28.  Look for more details coming soon!!!

TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY

Let's celebrate our amazing teachers!  Teacher Appreciation Day at CCS will be Friday, May 2nd.  There are many ways to show gratitude to our teachers including a handwritten note, fresh flowers, their favorite sweet treat, or a gift card! Be creative and have fun!  For your convenience, we have attached the list of the teacher’s “wish list” for gift cards.

Hot lunch orders for MAY are now open. Submit through the FACTS Family Portal by April 19.

AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

Sign up for your appointment today to donate blood on Wednesday, April 23. Appointments are available from 1:00 pm – 6:15 pm. Visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code: CalhounChristian to schedule yours soon!  

VOLUNTEER HOURS DUE MAY 30

As a reminder, 20 hours of service must be logged by the last day of school (May 30) or you will receive a bill for $12.50 per hour unserved in June. These service hours help keep our costs down and we appreciate your help greatly! We are always in need of volunteers for Lunch, Popcorn, and Sports (contact Don Hughes for more info about taking tickets at soccer games, etc). Hours need to be logged in the FACTS Family Portal, under Family, then Family Home, and then click the "Add+" button under your name to enter service hours.

If you are looking for ways to fulfill the required twenty service hours, check out the links below to sign up. Be sure to log all your service hours before the last day of school using FACTS Family Portal. If you would like to volunteer for girl’s soccer home games contact Mr. Hughes don.hughes@calhounchristian.org to see what the needs are. 

SUMMER CARE

Please consider sharing your child with us for the summer of 2025! We welcome students entering TK or Kindergarten (in Fall 2025) up to 12 yrs. 11 mos. of age.
•    This summer we will open the week after school ends for the year, with our first day being 6/9/2025.
•    The cost will be $40/day (1st & 2nd children) and $35/day (3rd, 4th, ......children).
•    Students will receive breakfast, lunch and snacks!
Your children will be engaged academically, socially, and spiritually, be active on a daily basis, all while having a TON of FUN!!!
