Robotics

We offer an excellent option for students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), at a competitive and extracurricular level with our robotics program. Calhoun Christian School has options for students in Grades 1-12 interested in robotics.

Robotics for Grades 1-6

We participate in the FIRST Lego League, challenging our elementary and younger middle school students to design, build, and compete with Lego. Through the fall semester each year, students in these groups will learn problem-solving skills in a fun and age-appropriate way, culminating in a local competition against other area schools. Lego Club continues through the spring semester, allowing these students the opportunity to expand their designing and building skills in their Lego creations.

Robotics for Grades 7-12

Our older middle school and high school students can compete at a district, state, and world level with First Robotics year-round, advancing their STEM skills and challenging their capacity for problem-solving, design, and programming.

In 2024, Calhoun Christian School's robotics team excelled through First Robotics Competitions (FRC) for Districts and State, and had the opportunity to compete at the World championship! Team Pizza Joe placed 38th (out of 524 teams) in Michigan, and 7th (out of 74) on our field at Worlds.
