Calhoun Christian School offers a performing arts elective at the high school level for our students interested in theater. The performing arts students will prepare a performance for our spring Follies program each year.
Beginning in 2023, we partner with What A Do Theatre to provide another level of performing arts for students interested in expanding their skills. Through this partnership, Calhoun Christian School has put on several excellent performances, including:
Newsies - Fall 2023
The Music Man - Summer 2024 (a 2-week intensive theater camp)
Arsenic and Old Lace - Fall 2024
With What A Do Theatre's help, our students (along with interested students from the homeschool community and St. Phil/St. Joe) have increased their knowledge and performance skills, learning how a performance comes together from auditions to final show.
Each summer, Calhoun Christian School offers a theater workshop, where our students put together a performance in 2 short, but intense, weeks. For more information, please contact us!
